Cool new website

Anyone interested in what Heidi Swapp, Rhona Farrer or Janet Hopkins has to say or their digital designs will love their new website called House of 3.  I see some cool digital designs already available by Rhonna Ferrar.

CHA 2009

I know it has been forever since I posted but I certainly do not want to miss out on any of the new releases from CHA.   I have been following the Making Memories blog here and trying to see all their releases as well as win something.   Basic Grey is totally amazing again this year and I found the new releases here.  Another one of my fave’s is FancyPants.  This website covers a lot of releases.  Check here.

Scrappers’ Twas the Night before Christmas

This poem originated from Carol Gillespie who did a layout on Scrapbooking.com.   I just love it.  Look here.

Twas the night before Christmas,
I’m glued to the tree.
I’m wondering what Santa brought just for me.
Could it be cardstock or chipboard or lace?
Or a Cricut, I said, with a smile on my face.
And that’s when I heard him, “Hi Santa,” I said
“You know….good little girls
should be in their beds.”
“I know I should Santa,
and now I’ve got caught.
But I was just so excited
To see what you brought.”
“Well, let’s take a look
in this room where you work.
He shook his head quickly,
And left with a jerk.
I heard him exclaim as he put it in gear.
“You’ve got enough crap,
I’ll see you next year!”

I am soon done

I sure am having fun playing with the cuttlebug and embossing folders, along with my spellbinder dies.  Some of the cards I got finished today show that.

Christmas is on its way

And am I very behind this year.   I started making Christmas cards a month ago and only have 10 done.  I am half way there.   I am really happy with these cards I made using Basic Grey Wassail line.   I used Stampin Up stamps, gold stickles, misc ribbon and inking to embellish these cards.

Thanks for looking

Woo hoo…..Canadian Scrapbooker magazine arrived

I am completed stoked by the magazine.  I just have looked through it quickly but am so proud to get my lst time publication in this magazine.   I didn’t realize until today that I will be receiving a gift from a scrapbook store as well.  Can hardly wait to find out what it is.   I am impressed with the way my layout looks in the magazine as well….much better scan than I could ever hope doing.

Crop and Cruise event in Saskatoon

I must say I had a blast at this event.   It was well put on and the food was to die for.  Lots of stuff in our goodie bags and doorprizes.  I loved all the make and takes we did as well.  I must admit that I did way more socializing than scrapping.  It was so wonderful to meet a few of the ladies from Scrapbooking Fanatics as well as women I have met before at crops.  My friend who started me in scrapbooking was also there and it was terrific to see her again.

Here is a few photos

Cuttlebug Ink Embossing

I found this cool technique on this blog today using inks and a brayer to ink emboss your embossing folder.  Julie Buhler from Paper Pleasing Ideas has done a utube demo on her blog.   This is so neat.  I have already tried it.
