Twas the night before Christmas,
I’m glued to the tree.
I’m wondering what Santa brought just for me.
Could it be cardstock or chipboard or lace?
Or a Cricut, I said, with a smile on my face.
And that’s when I heard him, “Hi Santa,” I said
“You know….good little girls
should be in their beds.”
“I know I should Santa,
and now I’ve got caught.
But I was just so excited
To see what you brought.”
“Well, let’s take a look
in this room where you work.
He shook his head quickly,
And left with a jerk.
I heard him exclaim as he put it in gear.
“You’ve got enough crap,
I’ll see you next year!”

My sister in law is taking part in the Ironman in Penticton today.  She did an incredible time for her age bracket in the swim at 1 hr and 21 mins.  I just checked the website and she has completed the bike ride through the mountains to Osoyoos and back which is 112 miles in 7.25 hrs.  She is now in her final leg of running which is a course of 26.2 miles.  Woo hoo….I am so proud of her to have the endurance and tenacity to complete this grueling marathon.

Sheesh, this is becoming annoying.  I have not done one single layout in the past month.  My mojo seems to have flown out the window and never came back.  I have fondled things, reorganized my stuff, looked through the pizza boxes that aren’t emptied yet and even my photos and “nothing”.   This is getting serious as I have three cards I have to make and I am going to be late for an ABC challenge I am in.  I am at letter S and would hate to be late now after all the rest.  Oh dear……here’s hoping my stab at it today will work.  Wish me luck!!!!

I may not have scrapped for over 2 weeks now.  I am in a funk and can’t seem to find my mojo.  But I am taking part in a photo challenge on a scrapbooking forum.  Having a blast learning my camera.  I don’t have a great one just a Fujifilm S700 but I am enjoying playing.  Check out my first two slide shows on my video page.

This is how it starts.  I bought a drawer unit on a whim.  Yikes….I didn’t realize it was going to come in a zagillion pieces.  Thank goodness for a friend helping me out with a power drill……..made the job so much easier. Then I tidied my scraproom and you sure won’t see it this way too often……..lol.

Notice how nice the unit looks in my room.  I still haven’t got it all organized yet.

So good to have my computer handy. And next is my hidden storage in the closet.  This is just one half on it.  Notice my method of using shower hooks and safety pins to hang embellishments from the clothes rod.

I am lucky to have a regular paper rack for my patterned paper.  I also have a wired book rack in there that holds my photo boxes and other containers with embellishments in there.  You can catch a glimpse of my sewing machine to the right.  Just to get it fixed so I can use it again.

Some of these are my own and others I just captured today in the neighbourhood.  You can tell which is my new camera and which were from my old one.  Enjoy

My dd and hubby live in Australia with two children.  I miss these grandchildren so much and have not even met Sasha.  My daughter told me that big brother was not being affectionate with his sister but was attempting to keep her sitting up straight….lol.  Just had to share.  Can’t wait to scrap these.

I know everyone does it ……… you find inspiration almost anywhere for your layouts.  Whether it be sketches, someone else’s layout on a website, magazines or ads from other magazines, or even the pattern on someone’s clothes.  Today I went to the greenhouse with my girlfriend and I found myself admiring this one colour of flower and the detail of the flower and the center of it.  I had to buy it even though it is meant to be grown outdoors.  Now I want to see if I can duplicate the way the centre of the flower looks on one of my layouts.   I just think it looks so cool and I am still sitting here trying to think of a way to achieve that.   And so………..I am going hunting to see what I can come up with.
