And am I very behind this year.   I started making Christmas cards a month ago and only have 10 done.  I am half way there.   I am really happy with these cards I made using Basic Grey Wassail line.   I used Stampin Up stamps, gold stickles, misc ribbon and inking to embellish these cards.

Christmas Cards

I found this cool technique on this blog today using inks and a brayer to ink emboss your embossing folder.  Julie Buhler from Paper Pleasing Ideas has done a utube demo on her blog.   This is so neat.  I have already tried it.

Whoopee…..I just may be out of my scrapbooking slump.  I was over to my friend’s Connie’s place today and we played all pm and part of the evening making cards.  I only got two of them complete but am very happy with both of them.  One I used Oxford Collections stamps and the other I used American Crafts Glitter cuts on it.

I had a blast last night on Lovebug.  Stephanie thaught us how to make a gift bag.  Although mine is not the same as hers, I am pretty happy with it and I plan to make some more.  Woo hoo…..thanks Stephanie.

Nice for a small gift

I had a blast using my penguin stamp, embossing, using my spellbinders circles, ribbon, prima flower, brad as well as stickles and sakura pen to complete this project.

Last night I couldn’t sleep so I played around with a sketch by Deanne Burton on Creative Scrappers and came up with this card.   I embossed my stamped image (Imagination) and added Sakura Glaze pens for colours in the flowers and the scalloped edge.  I also used Daisy D “Smile” Stamp and added Kaiser Craft pearls for an embellishment.  I took some white sheer ribbon and ran it over the ink pad I used for the flower to come up with the same colour.  I achieved this by using a pencil to hold the ribbon against the ink and went through the ink twice to pick up the colour.   I also inked the edges of my card and the squares.  The square are also lifted with pop dots to give it dimension.

I just received two roller doodles from Glitz Designs. I have tried them out with craft and dye ink and am a bit disappointed. I find the quality of the product to be cheap plastic and the roller itself does not have much of a raised impression. When I applied them to paper, the ink would run out before I could do a 12″ strip and also the ink would get on the sides and leave line ridges beside the stamped image. I only paid $4.39 for each of them. In my humble opinion, I would not recommend them. I don’t know if being left handed makes them not run as smoothly. Just stating my 2 cents worth.
