Just needed to share

My dd and family live in Australia.   They were on vacation to Port MacQuarie where my SIL’s brother lives.   They got the most beautiful photos of my grandchildren and I totally love the camel one.

National Card Making Day

Whoopee…..I just may be out of my scrapbooking slump.  I was over to my friend’s Connie’s place today and we played all pm and part of the evening making cards.  I only got two of them complete but am very happy with both of them.  One I used Oxford Collections stamps and the other I used American Crafts Glitter cuts on it.

Small gift bags

I just came across this blog and found the most adorable gift bags to make.   I am going to give this a try.

Look here at what Paula Goff from California put on her blog.

It’s one thing to know that  you are on the Page Maps September 2008 newsletter and also in the card maps but I just found out I am also included on  Friends of Page Maps which is a link on www.pagemaps.com.   They posted my link to my gallery…..how cool is that. See here .…..I am way down on the list.  It also was so cool to see so many names of ladies that I have met in the scrapbooking community since I started scrapbooking.

Need a laugh

Check out this site on how a man makes a card……lol.

I am pumped tonight

The new Page Maps see here from Becky Fleck for September came out tonight.  I had submitted a card based on one of her sketches and it is on the site.  I was so thrilled when she asked me to do a card in the first place and equally thrilled when she said she loved it.  Woo Hoo….

I am so proud so far

My sister in law is taking part in the Ironman in Penticton today.  She did an incredible time for her age bracket in the swim at 1 hr and 21 mins.  I just checked the website and she has completed the bike ride through the mountains to Osoyoos and back which is 112 miles in 7.25 hrs.  She is now in her final leg of running which is a course of 26.2 miles.  Woo hoo….I am so proud of her to have the endurance and tenacity to complete this grueling marathon.

What to do???

This is getting to the point of ridiculous.   I got one layout done this past week and back to square one.  Still no mojo and it is getting scarey.  I have lots of great photos and beautiful paper but nothing is speaking to me right now.   I am trying to figure out how to get back in the groove.  Sigh!!!

Ribbon Ring

Isn’t this just the coolest thing to hang your ribbon onto.  I would love to use a system like this.

Hurrah!!!

I finally did a layout.  I put my mind to it this pm and did a page for my Book of Me.  I dug out an old photo of me and Brad Johner (woo hoo) at a party and came up with this layout.  I used Cloud 9 Cinnamin Sticks pp and embellishments along with Maya Road Office Sheers which Caroline sent me.  I also used foil for the first time on my dots.  Going to take a bit of getting used to.
