My dd and hubby live in Australia with two children. I miss these grandchildren so much and have not even met Sasha. My daughter told me that big brother was not being affectionate with his sister but was attempting to keep her sitting up straight….lol. Just had to share. Can’t wait to scrap these.
Melody Ross from Chatterbox is offering a prize if you post to her blog why you like their new Chatterbox. It is yummy. See here
I got cracking and made some cards the other night when my computer was in a glitch. I used scraps for them all and am particularly happy with the Owl one where I used a pattern by Stephanie from LB. I already sent off two of the cards in a swap I am in. My supply of cards is hard to keep up with and have enough.
Lucie from LB pointed us to this link. It is so cool. There are directions to make your own prima flowers with homemade paper. I definitely want to give this a try. Too bad I don’t have more flower punches.
Used old fontwerks pp and saying. AC thickers for title. I also used Scenic Route chipboard for the butterfly and bird. I added stickles, glitter and Sakura glaze pens to give my page a bit of colour. This is based on Liz Qualman’s Sketch from Creative Scrapper’s blog. I had a blast doing this one of my son in law and grandchildren.
I know everyone does it ……… you find inspiration almost anywhere for your layouts. Whether it be sketches, someone else’s layout on a website, magazines or ads from other magazines, or even the pattern on someone’s clothes. Today I went to the greenhouse with my girlfriend and I found myself admiring this one colour of flower and the detail of the flower and the center of it. I had to buy it even though it is meant to be grown outdoors. Now I want to see if I can duplicate the way the centre of the flower looks on one of my layouts. I just think it looks so cool and I am still sitting here trying to think of a way to achieve that. And so………..I am going hunting to see what I can come up with.
