I took a job helping out one of my parents’ friends while they are on vacation. I am housesitting and tending to their garden and yard. I was so upset that I didn’t take a camera with me today cause when I got there, there was even more flowers in bloom and it was so peaceful and beautiful. I did get hot after some weeding and I also didn’t like the mosquitoes……but I treated myself and brought some flowers home. Aren’t they beautiful?
I almost forgot to mention that I got registered in the Crop and Cruise event in Saskatoon this coming October. It is going to be a blast hosted by Leica Forrest and other guests including the team from Canadian Scrapbooker. Connie and I are both going and it is going to be a blast.
Who ever said applying glitter doesn’t mean you get it everywhere. I had some on my face just awhile ago and I did this layout earlier today. I got the neatest product called “Quickie glue Pinpoint roller glue”. It is a very fine point and I added it to my title My Dad to give it a bit of pazzazz and applied glitter to it. IRL it shows up so much more. If I didn’t have glitter over half my layout and desk, I would love to use this technique more and it is perfect for very fine lines.
This layout is special to me as my Dad has been quite sick in the past, and again, I was blessed to spend Father’s Day with him this year.
I used the new PRIMA dude collection for this layout. I also did a technique that is usually used on cards but thought it would be fun for my journalling note. I stamped the Autumn Leaves swirl stamp with Versamark and then applied clear embossing powder and heat embossed. I have already typed my journalling note on white paper. I then used ink and my brayer and ran over the entire note to give it a colour close to my patterned paper with the squirl showing white.
